The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Thiago Cunha and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in China's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
China wants to stand and escape but Souza is having none of it.
Souza lands a couple of elbows.
Souza controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Souza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
China wants to get back to his feet but Souza is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Souza looking to pass the guard.
Souza stands and steps away. China gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Souza tries to close the distance and clinch but China swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Souza fails to land with a series of punches.
Souza throws the left hand but China avoids the punch easily.
Souza doesn't manage to clinch there - China circles away.
China fails with an attempt to clinch.
China scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
China tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Souza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Souza!
China is rocked!
It looks like Eduardo China has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
China tries to clinch there but Souza circles away.
China is still on wobbly legs! Can Souza finish him?
Souza throws a monster overhand right that drops China! Souza follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
