Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Krisu Leepen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simeon Grundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leepen comes to the cage accompanied by The Prodigy - . Grundy has chosen Enter Sandman as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simeon Grundy!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leepen leaves Grundy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Grundy shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leepen as he jumps to the side.
Grundy fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Krisu Leepen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simeon Grundy.

Leepen postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Grundy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leepen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leepen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Leepen stands up from Grundy's guard - Leepen perhaps looking for a knockout.
Grundy shoots in looking for a takedown but Leepen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grundy's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Grundy dodges the punch combination from Leepen.
Leepen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Grundy was covering up waiting for the punch and Leepen finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Grundy is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Leepen's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Grundy throws his legs up looking for a submission but Leepen uses it to pass to side control.

You can see the frustration on Grundy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
