Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sasha Tugarinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and German Valdez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). German Valdez will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sasha Tugarinov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, German Valdez! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valdez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Tugarinov keeping moving, preventing Valdez from controlling successfully. Valdez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tugarinov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Valdez has managed to get both his arms back between Tugarinov's legs - danger averted. Tugarinov looking for a guillotine here but Valdez defends easily.
Tugarinov has his foot on Valdez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Valdez works his way back into a safe position though. Valdez wants to control from the top but Tugarinov keeps moving. Tugarinov is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Valdez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tugarinov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Tugarinov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Valdez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Tugarinov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Valdez is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valdez wants to control from the top but Tugarinov keeps moving. Tugarinov is looking for a triangle here but Valdez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Tugarinov tries to buck Valdez off but Valdez is having none of it. Tugarinov is not content to let Valdez control the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tugarinov is trying to improve his position. Tugarinov sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tugarinov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Valdez pulls his head out easily. Valdez wants to take a breather but Tugarinov is having none of it. Tugarinov looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valdez is keen to just control but Tugarinov is a slippery customer. Valdez works his foot free and advances to mount. Tugarinov is trying to escape the mount.
Valdez fails to advance to Tugarinov's back. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Valdez trying to control but he's not successful this time. Tugarinov is looking to improve his position but Valdez isn't that keen on the idea. Tugarinov regains half guard. Valdez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Valdez is looking for a kimura but Tugarinov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Valdez to get the leverage. Valdez is keen to just control but Tugarinov is a slippery customer. Tugarinov has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Valdez. Oh but Tugarinov has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Valdez goes limp - he's gone! Tugarinov jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
