Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, William Wellington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jedidiah Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson lands a right hook to the body.

Wellington rushes Johnson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Johnson wants to break the clinch but can't.

Johnson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Johnson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wellington defends it easily.
Wellington pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Johnson is keeping the position for now.

Johnson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wellington defends well.
Wellington looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Johnson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wellington is aware though and is defending well.

Johnson looking for a sweep. Not yet Johnson, not yet.
Wellington is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wellington prevents Johnson from getting back to his feet.
Johnson keeping full guard, as Wellington tries to pass.
Wellington is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Wellington is breathing heavily.

The ref stands the fighters back up because William Wellington just wasn't active enough.
Wellington tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Johnson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Johnson thuds a left hand into Wellington's body.

Wellington rushes Johnson and presses him up against the cage.
Wellington drops down looking for an ankle pick but Johnson pulls his leg out and moves away.

Johnson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Wellington sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wellington tries to roll over but Johnson keeps him under control.
Wellington is refusing to be controlled, as Johnson sits in half guard.

Wellington keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Wellington slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Johnson looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Johnson scoring with some ground and pound.

Wellington is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Johnson rolls with it to try and escape but Wellington cranks on the arm and Johnson is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

William Wellington decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
