Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brock Nickoson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emil Rudnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brock Nickoson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Emil Rudnov! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rudnov shoots in for a takedown but Nickoson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rudnov tries for a takedown but Nickoson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Nickoson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Nickoson leaves Rudnov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Brock Nickoson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emil Rudnov. Nickoson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rudnov as he jumps to the side. No luck for Nickoson with that takedown attempt. Rudnov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nickoson pinned against the cage. Nickoson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Rudnov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Rudnov looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nickoson pushes Rudnov off and gets back to his feet. Rudnov drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Nickoson wriggles free and stands up. Rudnov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rudnov looks winded! Rudnov fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Nickoson fails with a takedown attempt. Nickoson keeps the fight on the outside.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rudnov gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Rudnov is looking for a takedown. Nickoson jumps guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nickoson pulls Rudnov in to control the position. Rudnov wanted to stand there but Nickoson had control of the position. Nickoson pulls Rudnov in to control the position. Nickoson manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nickoson unloads with some shots from mount but Rudnov bucks and avoids them well.
Rudnov is in all sorts of trouble here.
Nickoson with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nickoson misses with a head shot. Rudnov holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Nickoson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Rudnov tries to lock up and control but Nickoson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Nickoson content just to control the position here. Nickoson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rudnov is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brock Nickoson will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Rudnov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nickoson pinned against the cage. Nickoson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nickoson pushes Rudnov up against the cage in a clinch. Nickoson lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Nickoson avoiding damage.

Rudnov has Nickoson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Nickoson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Rudnov is trying to drag Nickoson to the mat but Nickoson just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Brock Nickoson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Emil Rudnov.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Nickoson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Rudnov fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Rudnov stuffs the takedown attempt from Nickoson. Nickoson gets slowly back to his feet. Brock Nickoson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nice sprawl there from Rudnov as Nickoson shoots in. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rudnov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nickoson's waist but Nickoson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rudnov off to one side. Rudnov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nickoson tries to avoid it but Rudnov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nickoson to the ground. Nickoson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Rudnov shoots in for a takedown but Nickoson shows good takedown defense. Nickoson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Rudnov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Nickoson somewhat. Nickoson moves into range and clinches up with Rudnov.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nickoson lands with a light punch inside. Nickoson has Rudnov pressed against the cage.
Nickoson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Rudnov pulls him back up using the underhooks. Nickoson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Nickoson is trying to force a seperation but Rudnov has the dominant position. Rudnov keeps control of Nickoson as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Nickoson tries to stall but Rudnov uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Nickoson tries to clinch but Rudnov moves out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rudnov is defended easily by Nickoson. Rudnov is looking to take this fight into the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nickoson fails with a takedown attempt. Rudnov tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nickoson paws at him with a jab and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Nickoson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nickoson tries to close the distance and clinch but Rudnov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rudnov scores with a spinning back kick! Nickoson looking to score a takedown here. Rudnov is defending well but Nickoson drives through and ends up in Rudnov's guard. Rudnov has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nickoson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nickoson is looking to work some ground and pound but Rudnov has wrist control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rudnov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nickoson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Rudnov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rudnov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Rudnov pushes a forearm under Nickoson's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Nickoson is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
