Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pinkynho Romeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Floyd Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Howard gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Howard is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Romeiro to keep the fight standing.
Romeiro is trying to drag Howard to the mat but Howard just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Romeiro blocks an elbow strike from Howard.
Romeiro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Howard is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Howard tries to pull guard but Romeiro won't allow it.

Howard breaks from the clinch.

Howard decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Howard wants to pass to mount but Romeiro is defending the position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Romeiro stands up over Howard, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Howard jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Romeiro is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Romeiro and Howard has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Howard has closed the distance and engaged Romeiro in a clinch.
Romeiro tries to score a body lock takedown but Howard shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Howard is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Romeiro can't fight it off and eventually Howard manages to take the fight to the floor. Romeiro looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Romeiro is working an open guard so Howard takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Romeiro enables Howard to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Romeiro manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Romeiro will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Howard is pushing down on Romeiro's leg trying to pass to half guard. Romeiro is fighting to maintain full guard but Howard has managed to sneak the leg through.

Howard escapes and gets back to his feet.
Romeiro closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Romeiro throws a series of punches but Howard moves out of range.
Howard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Romeiro lands with a hook. Howard tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Howard drives through with a takedown into Romeiro's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Howard can do anything to dispel that myth.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Romeiro really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Howard throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Romeiro was covering up waiting for the punch and Howard finishes the takedown easily into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Howard stands and steps away. Romeiro gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Howard chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Romeiro can pounce on him.

Howard walks straight into a right hand from Romeiro - that's dropped him! Romeiro jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Howard from any more punishment! Howard complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
