Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Mitrione (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brad Stout has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Matt Mitrione! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brad Stout! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stout misses with a two punch combination.
Oooooh!!! Stout has knocked Mitrione down with a huge combo! Stout steps away and waves a wobbly Mitrione back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
It looks like Matt Mitrione has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! No luck with that takedown attempt from Mitrione. Stout drops Mitrione with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mitrione looks back up at him and smiles so Stout waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Stout misses with a lunging right hand
and Mitrione counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mitrione. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Mitrione with a flurry of punches that miss. Mitrione sitting in guard, not really doing much. Mitrione stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stout swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mitrione wants to control from the top but Stout keeps moving. Mitrione is really struggling to control Stout but he's trying to hold on to the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Matt Mitrione wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Mitrione shoots in for a double leg but Stout sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Stout scores with a body shot.
Stout works Mitrione's body with a nice hook. Stout lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Brad Stout is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mitrione slips a jab and a cross from Stout.
Stout stuffs the takedown attempt from Mitrione. Mitrione gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Mitrione. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mitrione uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Stout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mitrione takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Mitrione is breathing heavily. Mitrione showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Stout.
Mitrione ducks right into an uppercut from Stout. Stout lands a big right hand that sends Mitrione crashing to the mat! Stout stays standing though and waves Mitrione back to his feet!
Mitrione is rocked! Mitrione keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stout. Stout scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Mitrione doesn't seem bothered though. Stout connects with a body shot. Stout goes for a small jab and connects. Now Stout goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Mitrione stumbles back but Stout runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Mitrione to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Mitrione will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Brad Stout! An out of breath Brad Stout thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
