Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Derek Aronoff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Peterwhacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aronoff comes to the cage accompanied by New Disease by Spineshank. Peterwhacker has chosen Bad to the Bone by George Thorogood as his entrance music. Michael Peterwhacker will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derek Aronoff! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Peterwhacker! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aronoff jabbing away but nothing is landing. Derek Aronoff seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Peterwhacker staying out of range there. Horrible takedown by Peterwhacker or perhaps it was just good defense by Aronoff which made him look bad. Aronoff misses with the combination.
Peterwhacker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Peterwhacker avoids the body shot from Aronoff.
Peterwhacker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aronoff. Peterwhacker thows a body shot but no joy. Nice takedown defense from Aronoff. No joy for Peterwhacker on that attempt. Derek Aronoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Peterwhacker. Aronoff throws out a loose jab but Peterwhacker uses good head movement to avoid it. A big left from Aronoff misses. Peterwhacker misses with a wild body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peterwhacker throws the left hand but Aronoff avoids the punch easily. The fighters circling - Aronoff throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Peterwhacker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Aronoff in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Aronoff is looking to get to half guard. Peterwhacker throws some wild stikes that Aronoff manages to avoid easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peterwhacker goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Aronoff is on top in guard.
Aronoff wants to control from the top but Peterwhacker keeps moving. Aronoff trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Peterwhacker tries to land a sweep but no joy. Aronoff is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Peterwhacker looking for a guillotine here but Aronoff defends easily.
Aronoff has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Peterwhacker looks gassed! Aronoff tries to free his leg and advance position but Peterwhacker is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Aronoff trying to control but Peterwhacker is working from the bottom. Peterwhacker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Aronoff misses with a body shot
and Peterwhacker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Peterwhacker. Peterwhacker throws a big right hand that misses. Aronoff is trying to control the position but Peterwhacker postures up. Aronoff keeping full guard, as Peterwhacker tries to pass. Aronoff utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Peterwhacker throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Aronoff works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Aronoff working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Peterwhacker.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterwhacker looking to pass the guard. Peterwhacker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aronoff throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Peterwhacker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Aronoff is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Aronoff's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Peterwhacker tries to close the distance and clinch but Aronoff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Peterwhacker takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Aronoff lands a slapping body shot.

Peterwhacker takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Aronoff digs a good body shot into Peterwhacker's ribs. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Aronoff throws a sloppy head kick and Peterwhacker counters with a takedown into side control. Peterwhacker wants to control but Aronoff is keeping him busy. Peterwhacker decides to stand back up. Peterwhacker steps back and let's Aronoff get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterwhacker tries a head kick but it misses.
Aronoff jabs at Peterwhacker's body. Aronoff misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Peterwhacker.
Peterwhacker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Peterwhacker landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Peterwhacker is nestled in close to Aronoff, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Aronoff trying to control but Peterwhacker postures up.
Peterwhacker missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Peterwhacker connects with a nice short shot to Aronoff's temple. Peterwhacker is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aronoff defends it well. Peterwhacker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Peterwhacker dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Peterwhacker fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Peterwhacker moves out of range as Aronoff strikes. Peterwhacker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Aronoff but Aronoff pushes him off and we're back to square one. Peterwhacker shoots in and drives through. Aronoff sprawls well. Aronoff comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Aronoff stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Aronoff scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Peterwhacker staying out of range there. Aronoff throws a head kick that misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Aronoff.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aronoff throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Aronoff cracks Peterwhacker with a good jab. Peterwhacker loads up on a big right hand but Aronoff slips the punch. Aronoff lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Aronoff tries to bum rush Peterwhacker with a series of wild strikes but Peterwhacker uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A jab from Peterwhacker does it's job there. Aronoff gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Peterwhacker. Peterwhacker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Aronoff paws at him with a jab and circles away. Peterwhacker shoots in but no luck this time. Derek Aronoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Peterwhacker. Peterwhacker closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aronoff circles away. Peterwhacker shoots in for a double leg but Aronoff sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Derek Aronoff is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Peterwhacker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aronoff swats him away and circles back towards the center. Peterwhacker avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Peterwhacker throws a head kick that half lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aronoff clobbers Peterwhacker with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Aronoff tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Peterwhacker throws a head kick that misses. Aronoff misses with a low kick. Michael Peterwhacker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A right-left combo lands from Peterwhacker. Some bone on bone action there as Peterwhacker checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Peterwhacker throws a hook to the side of Aronoff's head but Aronoff sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Aronoff throws a looping overhand right but Peterwhacker ducks down to avoid it. Peterwhacker shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Aronoff might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Peterwhacker takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Michael Peterwhacker has got the better of the ground game so far. Peterwhacker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aronoff keeps working. Peterwhacker working over Aronoff with some ground and pound. Aronoff looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aronoff won't allow Peterwhacker to pass to mount. Peterwhacker works his foot free and advances to mount. Peterwhacker goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Aronoff turns into him and now he's in Peterwhacker's guard.
Peterwhacker has his foot on Aronoff's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aronoff works his way back into a safe position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aronoff looking to pass the guard. Peterwhacker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Aronoff is one step ahead there. Peterwhacker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Peterwhacker sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Aronoff defending well though. Peterwhacker not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Derek Aronoff will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Peterwhacker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aronoff's waist but Aronoff gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Peterwhacker off to one side. Peterwhacker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aronoff tries to avoid it but Peterwhacker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aronoff to the ground. Aronoff escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice body punch from Aronoff. Danga de danga de dang - Aronoff scores with a four punch combination! Peterwhacker walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Aronoff digs a good body shot into Peterwhacker's ribs. Aronoff will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Peterwhacker closes the distance and clinches up with Aronoff, looking for a takedown. Peterwhacker pushes Aronoff against the cage but Aronoff circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Derek Aronoff has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Peterwhacker. Peterwhacker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Aronoff throws a head kick but Peterwhacker moves out of range.
Aronoff ducks under a wild hook from Peterwhacker. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Peterwhacker shoots in and drives through. Aronoff sprawls well.

Peterwhacker lands a lovely overhand right. Aronoff throws a sloppy head kick and Peterwhacker moves out of range easily. Peterwhacker will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Aronoff scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Aronoff throws a head kick that misses and Peterwhacker counters with a shoot takedown. Aronoff fights it but they end up in guard. Peterwhacker passes easily into side control. Nice work. Aronoff defending against the ground and pound. Peterwhacker taking a break here but Aronoff is having none of it and regains half guard. Peterwhacker thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Aronoff to regain full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aronoff keeping full guard, as Peterwhacker tries to pass. Peterwhacker throws a big right hand that misses. Peterwhacker with a flurry of punches that miss. Peterwhacker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aronoff swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Aronoff misses with a head kick.
Peterwhacker shoots for a takedown but Aronoff saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Peterwhacker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Peterwhacker takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peterwhacker fails with the takedown. Peterwhacker staying out of range there. Aronoff plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Aronoff loads up on a big right hand but Peterwhacker slips the punch. Peterwhacker's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Peterwhacker duly obliges. Aronoff lands a right hook to the body.
Peterwhacker gets a takedown into half guard. Peterwhacker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Aronoff keeps working. Peterwhacker throwing shots but Aronoff is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peterwhacker seems to be working for a kimura but Aronoff defends the submission attempt. Aronoff is defending against the submission attempts here by Peterwhacker.
