Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roronoa Bucheca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddie Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eddie Armstrong was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roronoa Bucheca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Armstrong! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bucheca throws out the jab. Armstrong looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Armstrong landing with the ground and pound. Bucheca can't keep his opponent in guard - Armstrong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Armstrong lands with a punch from half guard. Bucheca has hold of Armstrong's hands but Armstrong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Bucheca gets back to full guard.
Bucheca preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Armstrong looking to sit in guard and control but Bucheca gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Armstrong trying to control the position here. Bucheca in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Bucheca makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Bucheca postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Bucheca pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Armstrong is keeping the position for now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Armstrong can do anything to dispel that myth. Armstrong striking off his back but it's not causing Bucheca any problems. Armstrong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bucheca throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bucheca trying to control the position from guard on top but Armstrong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Bucheca showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Armstrong keeping moving, preventing Bucheca from controlling successfully. Armstrong is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Armstrong scores with a nice head shot. Armstrong drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Armstrong won't allow Bucheca to sweep him here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Armstrong's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Armstrong lands a couple of digs. Bucheca is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Armstrong lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Armstrong stands up over Bucheca, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Armstrong scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bucheca is rocked! Bucheca can't keep his opponent in guard - Armstrong advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bucheca on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Oh Bucheca is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Armstrong lands a big elbow - Bucheca is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Armstrong!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eddie Armstrong! Our winner, Eddie Armstrong, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
