Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Otto Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Lindros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jokinen comes into the arena with Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen wants to clinch.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jokinen checks a leg kick.

Jokinen tries to clinch up but Lindros circles away and keeps his distance.
Lindros misses with the combination.
Eric Lindros seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jokinen throws a hook but Lindros avoids it easily.
Lindros throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Otto Jokinen has been cut.

Jokinen is working Lindros over against the cage.
Lindros tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Lindros is looking to control Jokinen's arms but Jokinen gets an underhook and turns him. Now Lindros has his back to the cage.

and Jokinen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Jokinen tries to close the distance and clinch but Lindros swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lindros tries a low kick but Jokinen avoids it.
Lindros misses with a left hand
and Jokinen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Lindros sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lindros swats away the attempt to clinch by Jokinen.

and Lindros counters with a stiff right hand.
Lindros connects with a body shot that sends Jokinen's belly button to the back.

Good leg kick by Lindros there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Lindros uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jokinen.

and Jokinen counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Jokinen fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lindros has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lindros plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Lindros lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Lindros thows a leg kick but Jokinen checks it
and Jokinen counters with a low kick, right behind Lindros 's knee.
Lindros misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Jokinen.

Lindros tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jokinen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Jokinen swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Jokinen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lindros sees it coming and avoids it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Otto Jokinen will probably get the nod.

Lindros misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Jokinen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Jokinen turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Jokinen cracks the inside of Lindros's front leg.
Jokinen clobbers Lindros with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Lindros misses with an uppercut.
Jokinen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lindros moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jokinen finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Lindros uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jokinen.

Jokinen feints and then cracks Lindros's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lindros down.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

It looks like Eric Lindros has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jokinen digs a good hook to Lindros's body.
Lindros is still on wobbly legs! Can Jokinen finish him?
Lindros is breathing heavily.
Lindros gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Jokinen points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Lindros wakes up just in time to hear Jokinen thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
