Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dae Jung Pak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaheli Sonni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonni has chosen Chica as his entrance music. The key to victory for Dae Jung Pak has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pak bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Pak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pak works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Sonni misses with a hook.
Sonni misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pak.
Sonni tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sonni steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pak.
Pak scores with the left hand. Sonni knows he should have avoided that one.
Pak throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sonni tries to land a front kick but Pak steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Sonni chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pak can pounce on him.

Pak connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sonni momentarily.
Sonni tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pak was well out of range. Poor timing from Sonni.
Pak throws a sloppy head kick and Sonni moves out of range easily.
Sonni connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Pak misses with an uppercut. Sonni saw that one coming.

Sonni throws a jab but it's blocked by Pak.

Sonni takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Sonni.
Sonni takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Sonni takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Sonni bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Pak throws a hook to the side of Sonni's head but Sonni sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Dae Jung Pak is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Pak lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pak lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Sonni is rocked!
Pak misses the shot to the body.
Sonni is still on wobbly legs! Can Pak finish him?

Sonni throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sonni is looking to take a break and control but Pak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Pak missing with a left hand there. Sonni was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

You get the feeling that Pak really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Sonni is landing with some decent strikes but Pak is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pak is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Sonni has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Pak's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Pak is bucking up trying to escape but Sonni cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
