Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juha Mieto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Armand Agasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Juha Mieto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Armand Agasi!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mieto stuffs the takedown attempt from Agasi. Agasi gets slowly back to his feet.
Agasi throws a nice looking combination but Mieto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Agasi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mieto stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mieto wants it to stay on the feet.

Mieto avoids the body shot from Agasi.
Mieto scores with a hook.
Mieto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mieto throws a solid leg kick but Agasi takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Mieto.
Mieto moves out of range of the strikes.

Mieto avoids the body shot from Agasi.
Mieto is looking to slow Agasi down with leg kicks.

Agasi shoots in for a takedown but Mieto shows good takedown defense.
Juha Mieto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Armand Agasi.

and Mieto counters with a good low kick that Agasi was not able to check.

Agasi has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Agasi there as he acknowledges the shot.

Agasi lands with an uppercut that bounces Mieto off the cage and back into range.
Agasi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mieto.
A jab from Agasi does it's job there.
Agasi takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Agasi looks for a takedown but Mieto sprawls well.
Mieto throws a chopping leg kick but Agasi manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Mieto throws a head kick that half lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Agasi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Agasi connects with a right hand. Mieto shakes it off.
Agasi changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mieto tries to avoid it but Agasi manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mieto to the ground. Mieto escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Agasi shoots in for a takedown but Mieto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Mieto misses with a body kick.
Mieto leaves Agasi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Horrible takedown by Agasi or perhaps it was just good defense by Mieto which made him look bad.

and Agasi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Agasi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Agasi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Agasi tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Mieto looks to score with a jab to the body but Agasi is just out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mieto pushes Agasi back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Agasi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Mieto bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Agasi's guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Juha Mieto will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mieto looks for the body kick but Agasi saw that one coming.
Agasi shoots in but no luck this time.
Mieto is looking to land body kicks.

Agasi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Agasi thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mieto's head.

Agasi is working for a submission of some sort.

Agasi trying to pass the guard but Mieto defending well.

Agasi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Agasi is working for a kimura but Mieto is defending it quite comfortably.

Mieto is defending against the submission attempts here by Agasi.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Agasi prevents Mieto from improving his position.
Agasi not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Mieto wants to improve his position but Agasi is controlling well.
Agasi tries to pass the half guard into mount. Mieto knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Agasi working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Agasi is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Mieto to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Armand Agasi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Agasi is looking for a triangle but Mieto pushes his legs off easily.
Mieto is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Agasi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mieto!

The referee warns Mieto that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Agasi throwing strikes here but Mieto is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Agasi wants to take Mieto's back here but Mieto is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

Agasi is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mieto to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mieto shrugs it off.

Agasi goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mieto turns into him and now he's in Agasi's guard.

Agasi is refusing to be controlled, as Mieto sits in half guard.
Mieto is really struggling to control Agasi but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Agasi lands a couple of sideways elbows.
Agasi is pressing down on Mieto's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Agasi wants to sweep but no luck.

Agasi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Agasi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mieto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mieto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mieto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Agasi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mieto has managed to get both his arms back between Agasi's legs - danger averted.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Agasi thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Mieto got a little sloppy there for a moment and Agasi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mieto has managed to get both his arms back between Agasi's legs - danger averted.
Mieto is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Mieto stays in close to Agasi's body and controls the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Agasi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mieto doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mieto manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Armand Agasi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Agasi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
