Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Pertti Silsa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Wight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silsa's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Candy by Robbie Williams. On his way into the cage it seems that Pertti Silsa has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Pertti Silsa seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pertti Silsa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lex Wight!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silsa cracks Wight with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Silsa wants to slow Wight down by chopping away at his legs.

Wight throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Silsa tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wight is in Silsa's guard.
Wight forces his way into half guard.
Silsa is looking to control Wight's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silsa avoid being mounted?

Silsa tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wight was well out of range. Poor timing from Silsa.

Wight shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

We're going to have a standup here because Pertti Silsa wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Silsa throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Wight closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Wight is trying to trip Silsa. He has hold of a leg but Silsa is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Wight persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A telegraphed right hand from Silsa misses the target.

Wight has Silsa pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Wight pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Silsa tumbling to the mat - Wight dives into Silsa's guard.
Lex Wight has got the better of the ground game so far.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Lex Wight hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Silsa is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Wight pulls his head out easily.

Let's hope that Wight has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wight is keen to just control but Silsa is a slippery customer.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Lex Wight was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Wight throws a hook but Silsa avoids it easily.
Lex Wight is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wight fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silsa sprawls well initially but Wight persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wight is looking to take a break and control but Silsa is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silsa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lex Wight showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
