Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Al Capone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fortune Cookie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cookie is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Chinese Rap. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Al Capone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Fortune Cookie! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cookie scores with a body shot.
Capone throws a right and a left that Cookie avoids nicely. Capone misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Capone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Cookie manages to avoid it. Capone scores with a decent looking hook. Capone takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Capone is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Cookie.
It looks like Al Capone has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Cookie misses with a hook. Capone ducked under it nicely. A good leg kick by Capone. Cookie steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Capone. That one must have hurt. Cookie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Cookie throws a hook but Capone blocks it. Capone clinches up against the cage. Capone escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice defenses there by Cookie. Capone connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Cookie's hands. A combination from Capone does no damage. Capone shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Capone moves out of range as Cookie strikes. Capone swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The fighters circling - Cookie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cookie throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Cookie slips under a jab. Capone lands with an uppercut that bounces Cookie off the cage and back into rage. Capone moves forwards but Cookie connects with a nice, crisp jab. Capone keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Capone lands a head kick. Cookie smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Capone avoids the body shot from Cookie.
Capone slips under a jab from Cookie. Cookie throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Capone cracks the inside of Cookie's front leg. Capone looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Cookie throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Capone on the side of the head. Capone misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cookie closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Capone to the mat! Capone manages to get full guard. Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back. Cookie stands and throws Capone's legs to the side, diving into side control. Cookie throws a strike aimed at the side of Capone's head but Capone avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Capone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Cookie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Capone knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Capone tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Cookie wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Cookie tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cookie has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Capone is looking for a sweep. Cookie tries for an arm triangle. That's three minutes gone in the round. Cookie working the ground and pound but Capone is defending the strikes. Cookie grinds an elbow into Capone's temple. Cookie passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Capone! Cookie scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Capone?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Capone is wriggling around trying to escape.
Capone wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Cookie.
Cookie dominating with strikes here. Cookie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Cookie misses with a head shot. Cookie has hold of Capone's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Capone manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Cookie goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Capone turns into him and now he's in Cookie's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Capone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cookie swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cookie throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Cookie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Capone knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cookie on the ground. Cookie throwing shots but Capone is blocking nicely. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Capone wants to control but Cookie is keeping busy.
Capone on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fortune Cookie dominated that round. The cut man is working on Al Capone's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Capone misses with a double jab
and Cookie counters with a nice double leg into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cookie trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Cookie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Capone swivels though and keeps the full guard. Cookie won't allow Capone to get back to his feet. Cookie preventing the sweep. Capone is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Capone is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Capone is trying to keep Cookie in close.
Cookie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Capone's guard. Cookie is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cookie thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Capone's head. Cookie is breathing heavily. Capone wants to get back to full guard. Cookie passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Capone! Cookie scoring with strikes but Capone is staying in there. Capone is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cookie has the hooks in. Capone is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Capone is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Capone turns into Cookie and is now in his guard.
Capone trying to control the position from guard on top but Cookie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fortune Cookie has got the better of the ground game so far. Capone wanted to stand there but Cookie had control of the position. Cookie trying to keep a closed guard but Capone is proving a slippery customer.
Capone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Cookie looking for a sweep. Not yet Cookie, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Capone trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cookie's guard. Cookie is striking off his back. Capone thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Capone not landing any meaningful shots this time.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Capone looks to score with a jab to the body but Cookie is just out of range. Capone shoots for a double leg takedown but Cookie sprawls well. He's pushed Capone's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Capone moves out of range of the body kick from Cookie.
Cookie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Capone can pounce on him.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A jab from Capone does it's job there. Cookie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Capone bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cookie's head backwards. Capone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Capone slips a straight right by Cookie. Cookie works the jab nicely. Al Capone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Capone attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Capone tries to move into range but Cookie moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Capone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cookie moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cookie has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Cookie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Capone with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Capone lands a glancing blow to the side of Cookie's head. Cookie avoids the body shot from Capone.
Capone throws a hook but Cookie avoids it easily. Cookie moves out of range as Capone throws a body kick.

Fortune Cookie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Al Capone's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Cookie misses with a wild body shot. Capone throws a nice inside leg kick. A big right from Cookie misses. Capone lands an overhand right. Cookie throws a nice looking combination but Capone bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Al Capone is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Capone cracks Cookie with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Capone connects with a looping right hand.
Donk. Cookie catches Capone right on the button with a cross. Capone throws a combination that misses and Cookie counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Capone's guard now. Cookie tries to free his leg and advance position but Capone is retaining full guard. Capone trying to strike off his back.
Cookie in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Cookie postures up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cookie looking to pass the guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Capone connects with a solid leg kick. Capone throws a nice head kick!
Capone displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Cookie throws out the jab. Some wild striking there from Cookie.
Capone throws a one two combo.
Capone fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cookie. Capone swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Capone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The fighters circle momentarily. Capone darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Capone tries to work over Cookie's front leg with a kick but Cookie checks it. Cookie connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Capone takes a swing at Cookie's ribcage but misses. Capone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cookie. Cookie scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Capone on the wrong end of a nice jab. Capone rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cookie moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Capone misses with a combination
and Cookie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Capone's guard. Cookie stopping the sweep attempt from Capone. Cookie drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Cookie seems to have locked his on tight now - Capone screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Cookie, as he picks up the win!
