Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Devin Carrier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tarmugi Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hassan has chosen No more sorrow-Linkin park as his entrance music. Devin Carrier has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Devin Carrier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tarmugi Hassan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hassan misses the shot to the body.
Hassan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Carrier was well out of range. Poor timing from Hassan.
Tarmugi Hassan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hassan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Carrier feints and as Hassan raises his hands in defense, Carrier changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Hassan wants to stand up but Carrier is controlling him.
Carrier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hassan swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Carrier throws a strike but Hassan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Hassan stands up and waves to Carrier to follow him.

Carrier feints and as Hassan raises his hands in defense, Carrier changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Carrier is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hassan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hassan has escaped and now he's on top!
Carrier is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Carrier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hassan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Carrier has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hassan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Carrier.

Carrier sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Carrier is looking to improve his position.

Carrier works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hassan tries to stand but Carrier is controlling from the bottom.
Carrier is looking for a triangle but Hassan pushes his legs off easily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hassan. Carrier does a little dance to reset his feet.

Hassan throws a body punch but Carrier moves out of range.
Carrier takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Carrier looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hassan throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Carrier darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hassan won't allow Carrier to pass to mount.

Carrier moves nicely into side control.
Carrier throwing strikes but Hassan manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Carrier is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hassan wants to stand but Carrier is controlling his arm.

Carrier regains half guard.
Hassan wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Carrier uses the opportunity to regain full guard.

Hassan avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Carrier on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Carrier tries to get out of the position.

Carrier tries to roll over but Hassan keeps him under control.

That was a close second round but I would say that Devin Carrier will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Horrible takedown by Carrier or perhaps it was just good defense by Hassan which made him look bad.

Carrier rushes Hassan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Hassan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carrier shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carrier was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Hassan is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

Carrier goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hassan rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Carrier's guard! Nice work there by Hassan!
Devin Carrier overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hassan wants to get up but he can't break Carrier's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Tarmugi Hassan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hassan decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Hassan enables Carrier to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hassan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Carrier wants to pass the guard but Hassan is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carrier wants to control from the top but Hassan keeps moving.

Carrier throws an elbow that misses. Hassan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Carrier's guard. Nice move by Hassan!
Carrier looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hassan has picked Carrier up and slammed him! Carrier can't keep hold of the triangle and Hassan manages to pass to side control!
Hassan in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Hassan tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Devin Carrier is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Carrier is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Hassan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Devin Carrier.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carrier, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
