Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Andy Silverson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas R Callahan Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas R Callahan Jr told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Silverson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Thomas R Callahan Jr! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Mauricio Rocha and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silverson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Silverson is pushing down on Callahan Jr's leg trying to pass to half guard. Callahan Jr is fighting to maintain full guard but Silverson has managed to sneak the leg through. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silverson connects with a nice short shot to Callahan Jr's temple. Callahan Jr actively working from the bottom here. Silverson thows a huge punch but Callahan Jr dodges it nicely.
Callahan Jr wants to get back to his feet. Silverson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Silverson prevents Callahan Jr from improving his position. Silverson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Callahan Jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Andy Silverson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Silverson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silverson wants to take a breather but Callahan Jr manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Silverson.

Silverson stops Callahan Jr from standing up. Silverson drops back looking for a leg! Callahan Jr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Callahan Jr manages to kick Silverson off! Silverson jumps back into Callahan Jr's guard.

Silverson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Callahan Jr knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Callahan Jr avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Silverson. Silverson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Silverson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Callahan Jr gets back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Andy Silverson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Silverson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
