Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Vincent Valentine! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kalle Raisi! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valentine shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Raisi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Raisi has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Valentine is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Raisi. Raisi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Raisi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raisi actively working from the bottom here. Valentine is working for a kimura but Raisi is defending it quite comfortably.
Raisi looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Raisi is staying active underneath Valentine, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Raisi looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raisi actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Raisi tries to roll over but Valentine keeps him under control. Valentine moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Raisi.
Raisi is looking for a sweep. Valentine trying to control the action but Raisi is working from the bottom. Valentine tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Valentine has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Raisi is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valentine misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Valentine wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Raisi, who protects the arm well. Raisi manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Valentine blocks the strikes from Raisi.
Valentine is trying to control. Raisi wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Raisi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Valentine pulls his head out easily. Valentine moves into full mount! Raisi won't be happy about that! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valentine looking to control but Raisi is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Raisi can't escape the position.
Valentine jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Raisi manages to avoid the submission attempt. Valentine stands up and beckons Raisi to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valentine scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice uppercut lands for Raisi. That snapped Valentine's head back.
Raisi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Raisi takes the fight into the clinch. Raisi jumps guard and drags Valentine to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valentine pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Raisi is keeping the position for now. Raisi working for a triangle but Valentine defends it easily.

Raisi keeping full guard, as Valentine tries to pass. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Valentine has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Raisi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Valentine is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Raisi pulls down on the head and he's put Valentine to sleep! This one is all over!
