Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jean Boucher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Ramirez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Boucher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rob Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boucher closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ramirez circles away.
Boucher doesn't manage to clinch there - Ramirez circles away.
Boucher looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ramirez fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Boucher manages to avoid it.
Boucher moves in looking to clinch but Ramirez pushes him off.
Ramirez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Boucher fails in his attempt to clinch.
Boucher tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ramirez swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ramirez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Boucher on the side of the head.


It looks like Jean Boucher has been cut.
Boucher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ramirez's waist but Ramirez gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boucher off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jean Boucher. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Boucher looks for a takedown but Ramirez sprawls well.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Boucher.
Boucher's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Ramirez connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Boucher scrambles back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fight stays on the outside here - Boucher looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ramirez throws the left hand but Boucher avoids the punch easily.
Boucher shoots in but Ramirez avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Boucher gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ramirez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Boucher is breathing heavily.

Ramirez lands a big uppercut and Boucher crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Boucher looks OK. Ramirez waves Boucher back to his feet!


Boucher is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Boucher shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ramirez counters with a huge overhand right that connects right on the temple, sending him crumpling, face first to the floor! This one is all over! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rob Ramirez!
Rob Ramirez took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
