Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Starner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by It's Good. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Diego Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glen Starner! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

It looks like Diego Diaz has been cut. Starner on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Diego Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Starner cracks Diaz with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Starner checks a low kick from Diaz. Diaz throws the left hand but Starner avoids the punch easily. Starner jabs Diaz to the body, keeping him at a distance. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Starner scores with a takedown into Diaz's guard. Diaz controls Starner momentarily but Starner frees himself. Starner working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Diaz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Starner working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Diaz has momentary wrist control but Starner slips an elbow through the middle. Diaz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Starner. Starner told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. Diaz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Starner throws an elbow that misses. Diaz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Starner's guard. Nice move by Diaz! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz stopping the sweep attempt from Starner. Starner is looking for a triangle but Diaz pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starner has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Diaz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Starner looking to hit a scissor sweep but Diaz is one step ahead there. Starner has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Diaz advances to half guard. Diaz trying to control the pace. Starner wants to control but Diaz is keeping busy and won't allow it. Starner moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz wanted to stand there but Starner had control of the position. Starner is trying to keep Diaz in close.

Diaz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Starner keeps working. Starner is looking to regain half guard here but Diaz keeps moving and retains side control. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! You can see the frustration on Starner's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Starner sneaks back into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Starner misses with a straight right. Diaz lands a lovely overhand right. Starner shoots in and gets a takedown into Diaz's guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Starner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Starner from controlling successfully. Starner throws a big elbow that misses. Starner trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Diaz wants to sweep here but Starner controlling him for the moment. Starner trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Diaz has Starner pulled in close to control his posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starner slips nicely into half guard. Diaz trying to hold on to Starner's head to control him but Starner postures up.
Starner lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Starner throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz wants to get back to full guard. Starner not landing any meaningful shots this time. Starner is trying to work for a kimura but Diaz is defending well.
Starner misses with a head shot. Diaz uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starner connects with a couple of short punches. Starner throws a big right hand that misses. Diaz working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Starner. Diaz working a defensive guard here.
Starner cracks Diaz with a solid left hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Diaz utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Starner tries to free his leg and advance position but Diaz is retaining full guard. Diaz is pulling down on Starner's head. It's preventing any offense from Starner, at least for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying to control the position but Starner postures up. Starner postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Starner stands up over Diaz, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Diaz keeping moving, preventing Starner from controlling successfully. Diaz trying to keep a closed guard but Starner is proving a slippery customer.
Diaz lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Starner! Starner is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Starner is still trying to improve position. Diaz controlling from the full mount. Starner sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Diaz prevents Starner from improving his position. Diaz tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Starner. Starner makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Starner. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Starner swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Starner. Starner tries to bum rush Diaz with a series of wild strikes but Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Diaz, right into the meat.

Diaz throws a low kick but Starner avoids it. Diaz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Diaz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Diaz pivots, looking for a leg kick but Starner is out of range and Diaz settles back down. Diaz misses with an uppercut. Diaz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Starner.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starner cracks Diaz with a good jab. Diaz throws a leg kick but Starner checks it. Diaz throws a sloppy head kick and Starner counters with a takedown into side control. Diaz is looking for a sweep. Starner throws a strike aimed at the side of Diaz's head but Diaz avoids it well. Starner has knee on belly and moves into mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Starner looking to finish Diaz with some ground and pound. This is bad for Diaz! Diaz tries to get back to half guard but can't. Diaz is working hard here to advance position. Starner lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Diaz in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Diaz is rocked! Starner landing punches. Oh Diaz is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Starner connects with a bit shot that sees Diaz covering up! More strikes from Starner and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Starner is our winner by TKO!
