Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jarmo Lenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Ellis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jarmo Lenko had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jarmo Lenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alexander Ellis!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis ducks under a wild hook from Lenko.
A jab from Lenko misses.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ellis defending well as Lenko loads up on a big left hand.

Lenko moves into the clinch.
Ellis prevents the takedown attempt.

Ellis tightens his grip and picks Lenko up, before dumping him to the ground. Lenko manages to land in guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Ellis stopping the sweep attempt from Lenko.
Ellis pushing down on Lenko's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lenko tries to get to full guard but Ellis has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ellis is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Ellis is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Ellis is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ellis prevents Lenko from improving his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Ellis is working for a kimura but Lenko is defending it quite comfortably.
Lenko trying to get back to full guard but Ellis takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Lenko defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ellis.
Lenko can't escape the position.

Ellis jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Lenko manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Lenko is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Lenko knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ellis on the ground.

Lenko is working hard here to advance position.
Ellis misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Ellis fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Lenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lenko tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ellis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Ellis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Ellis has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Lenko is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Ellis yanks on the arm and Lenko is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Ellis.

In his post fight interview, Alexander Ellis started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
