Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Gribov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that David Kappa has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily David Kappa seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 2, fighting out of London, David Kappa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sergey Gribov! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Kappa as he checks the leg kick. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gribov!
Kappa misses with a two punch combination.
Gribov misses the shot to the body. Gribov with a lazy takedown attempt and Kappa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Gribov looks to score with a jab to the body but Kappa is just out of range. Gribov blocks a jab. Kappa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Kappa throws a right and a left that both miss. Gribov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kappa decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gribov's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Gribov looking for a sweep. Not yet Gribov, not yet. Gribov trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gribov working for a triangle but Kappa defends it easily.
Gribov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Gribov had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kappa defends it easily. Gribov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kappa controlling from the top position. Kappa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kappa stopping the sweep attempt from Gribov.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of David Kappa. Kappa throws a leg kick but Gribov checks it. Gribov misses with a body shot.
Kappa throws a low kick but it's checked well by Gribov. Gribov tries for a takedown but Kappa circles away easily and Kappa counters with a flying knee. Nice. David Kappa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergey Gribov. Nice takedown defense from Kappa. No joy for Gribov on that attempt. Gribov misses with a body shot.
Sergey Gribov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kappa drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gribov is looking for a sweep. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kappa gets to mount! Gribov was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Kappa tries to control but Gribov wriggling away. Kappa is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Gribov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gribov tries to reverse the position but Kappa maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Kappa dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Gribov fails with the takedown and Kappa counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gribov! Gribov tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kappa working away. Kappa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gribov keeps working. Gribov manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kappa's best efforts. Gribov is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kappa blocks the strikes from Gribov.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kappa wants to pass to mount but Gribov is defending the position. Kappa content to control rather than advance. Gribov actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kappa looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gribov has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Kappa escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Kappa! Kappa is staying tight to Gribov's torso, preventing him from escaping.
That's three minutes gone in the round. David Kappa overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gribov looking for a sweep but Kappa has passed into full mount! Oh no! Kappa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kappa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Gribov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kappa tries to control but Gribov wriggling away. Gribov is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kappa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gribov really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Kappa dominated that second round. That's time! Kappa's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Gribov dives in and scores a takedown into Kappa's guard. Kappa avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kappa wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up because David Kappa just wasn't active enough. Kappa misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kappa misses with an uppercut. Gribov saw that one coming. Kappa scores with a jab to the body. Gribov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kappa circles away. Gribov walks into a straight right hand from Kappa. Gribov chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Gribov tries for a takedown but Kappa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. David Kappa is winning the standup battle so far. Kappa lands a big head kick that sends Gribov tumbling to the mat! Kappa takes a step backwards and waves Gribov back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Gribov is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kappa fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Gribov is still on wobbly legs! Can Kappa finish him? No luck for Gribov with that takedown attempt. David Kappa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergey Gribov. Gribov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kappa scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Good leg kick by Kappa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gribov seems to have recovered his senses. Kappa Throws a clean left jab. Kappa Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Gribov's chin! Gribov crumbles to the ground and Kappa follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Kappa!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). David Kappa! David Kappa made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Who's next motherfucker!? Give me that Title Shot. That Belt belongs to The Green Beast! Nobody stopping me. '.
