Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reggie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by The Champ is Here. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Reggie Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pablo Escobar! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson connects with a looping right hand.
Anderson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Escobar looks to land a combination but Anderson avoids it well. Escobar takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Anderson looks for the body kick but Escobar saw that one coming. Escobar blocks a low kick nicely. Escobar turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Escobar swings for the body but Anderson moves out of range.
Escobar thows a body shot but no joy. Anderson pushes Escobar away with a front kick. Anderson scores with a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Anderson thows a left - swing and a miss! Anderson tests Escobar's chin there with a solid looking shot. Anderson blocks the body kick.
Anderson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Escobars jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Anderson throws a lazy right hand but Escobar sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Escobar throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Anderson throws a hook to the side of Escobar's head but Escobar sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Anderson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Escobar tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Escobar takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Anderson takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Anderson throws a low kick but Escobar moves out of range easily. Anderson throws a leg kick that is checked and Escobar counters with a thumping low kick. Anderson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Anderson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Escobar fakes the leg kick and cracks Anderson in the body. Anderson misses with a low kick as Escobar jumps back. Escobar throws a wild body kick that Anderson sees coming a mile off.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Escobar looks for the body kick but Anderson saw that one coming. Anderson misses with a left hand and Escobar counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Anderson is looking to chop away at Escobar's legs. Pablo Escobar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Escobar clinches with his opponent.

A short left from Escobar. Anderson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Escobar stuffs the takedown attempt from Anderson. Anderson gets slowly back to his feet. Escobar misses with an attempted mid kick.
A cross from Escobar lands. Anderson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Escobar. Anderson throws a leg kick but Escobar sees it coming and moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson throws a front kick aimed at Escobar's knee but Escobar avoids it well. Anderson moves out of range of the strikes. Escobar gets off balance looking for a body kick and Anderson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Escobar! Escobar is trying to control Anderson's posture but Anderson avoids it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anderson happy to just control the position for now. Anderson throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Escobar is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Escobar trying to get back to full guard but Anderson takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Escobar is bucking up trying to escape but Anderson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Anderson cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Anderson is in the full mount, landing strikes. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Anderson throwing strikes but Escobar recovers to half guard. A much better position. Escobar wants to control but Anderson is keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reggie Anderson dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Escobar lands with a nice combination. Anderson backs away looking to recover. Anderson throws a nice head kick!
Anderson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Anderson connects with a solid leg kick. Escobar looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Anderson throws a jab when Escobar was well out of range. Escobar moves out of range of the body kick from Anderson.
Anderson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Escobar. That did some damage! Escobar lands a jab to the nose. Escobar lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Escobar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Anderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Anderson dives in and grabs Escobar's left leg, looking for a takedown. Escobar pushes down on Anderson's head and hops out. Escobar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Anderson with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Escobar to score with a decent uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Escobar.
Anderson tries to score with a low kick but Escobar moves his leg out of the way. Jab, jab by Escobar - just one landing. Anderson scores with a decent looking hook. Escobar misses with a body shot.
Escobar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Escobar throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Escobar tries to bum rush Anderson with a series of wild strikes but Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Escobar has managed to clinch.

Escobar has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Anderson wants to slow Escobar down by chopping away at his legs. Escobar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A leg kick checked by Anderson. Escobar displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Anderson throws out the jab. Escobar connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Pablo Escobar seems to be getting the better of the standup. Anderson has his takedown stuffed and Escobar counters with a nice uppercut. Escobar fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Anderson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Anderson feints a jab promting Escobar to slip. Anderson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Escobar slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Escobar tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anderson swats him away and circles back towards the center. Escobar scores with a jab to the body. Anderson takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Escobar throws a wild body kick that Anderson sees coming a mile off. An inside leg kick from Anderson misses. Escobar scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Escobar tries to throw a body punch but Anderson avoids it by throwing Escobar back against the cage. Escobar swings wildly with an uppercut but Anderson uses good head movement to avoid it. Escobar softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Escobar throws a head punch that misses. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Escobar takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Anderson jumps guard but Escobar turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reggie Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson is looking for a takedown. Escobar can't find room to land a body shot as Anderson controls the action.

Pablo Escobar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Reggie Anderson's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Anderson is looking to slow Escobar down with leg kicks. Escobar's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Anderson connects with an inside leg kick. Escobar swings away with a body shot that misses
and Anderson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Escobar working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Anderson. Escobar seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Escobar trying to keep a closed guard but Anderson is proving a slippery customer.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Anderson wants to control from the top but Escobar keeps moving.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Pablo Escobar. Escobar tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Anderson motions for Escobar to come forward. Anderson throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson tries to work over Escobar's front leg with a kick but Escobar checks it. Anderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Escobar as he jumps to the side. Anderson thows a left - swing and a miss! Anderson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Anderson misses with a kick to the body.
Escobar tries to clinch but Anderson is having none of it. Escobar looks to land a right hand but Anderson moved out of range. Escobar scores with a head kick.
A good leg kick by Escobar. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Anderson blocks a head kick by Escobar.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Reggie Anderson. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
