Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giuseppi Falzone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunnar Steigelmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Steigelmann fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Falzone on the side of the head.

Steigelmann scores with the left hand. Falzone knows he should have avoided that one.
Steigelmann throws a push kick but Falzone slaps the foot to one side.
Falzone misses with a body punch
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Steigelmann throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Steigelmann thows a left - swing and a miss!
Falzone throws a right hand that Steigelmann ducks under and follows up with a left that Steigelmann also avoids with ease.
Steigelmann scores with a jab. Falzone acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Steigelmann throws a head kick that misses.
Steigelmann scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Falzone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Steigelmann manages to avoid it.

Steigelmann feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Falzones jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Steigelmann's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Gunnar Steigelmann hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Falzone gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Steigelmann.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That's time! Falzone's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Falzone has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Falzone there as he acknowledges the shot.
Steigelmann is looking to slow Falzone down with leg kicks.

Falzone is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Falzone has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Steigelmann finds it's way round the side to connect with Falzone's head.
Steigelmann scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Steigelmann cracks Falzone with a big right hand and Falzone goes down!
Oh Falzone is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Steigelmann seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Falzone seems to have got his legs back now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Falzone utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Falzone can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Steigelmann controls the pace.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Falzone is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Steigelmann is controlling him.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Gunnar Steigelmann.

The fighters circle momentarily. Steigelmann darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Steigelmann connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Falzone! He's out on his feet! Steigelmann rushes in and drops Falzone with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

After winning the bout, Gunnar Steigelmann thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
