Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Gaspic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lumper Gyilkos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David Gaspic looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gyilkos scores with a takedown into Gaspic's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gaspic looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Gyilkos looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Gyilkos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Gyilkos gets to his feet. Gaspic looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A shot to the liver by Gyilkos. Beautiful body shot. Gyilkos darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gaspic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gyilkos on the ground. Gyilkos seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lumper Gyilkos. Gyilkos stuns Gaspic with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Gyilkos looking to score a takedown here. Gaspic is defending well but Gyilkos drives through and ends up in Gaspic's guard. Gyilkos is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaspic is trying to keep Gyilkos in close.
Gyilkos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Gyilkos's corner. There ya go! There ya go! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gyilkos with a flurry of punches that miss. Gaspic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gyilkos advances to half guard. Gyilkos stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Gyilkos has Gaspic up against the cage in a clinch.
Gyilkos scores with a nice hook to the head. Gyilkos turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Gaspic managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Gyilkos.
Gyilkos remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Gyilkos moves into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gyilkos is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gaspic has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Gyilkos throwing strikes here but Gaspic is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gaspic is squirming around, avoiding Gyilkos's attempts to control the action. Gyilkos looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lumper Gyilkos dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Gyilkos closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gaspic quickly recovers to half guard. Gyilkos is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gaspic defends it well. Gyilkos moves nicely into side control. Gyilkos stands up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gaspic has Gyilkos up against the cage in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Gyilkos manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Gyilkos has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Gyilkos tries to land a sweep but no joy. Gyilkos pulls Gaspic in close to prevent any damage. Gyilkos is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gyilkos is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Gaspic is just riding it out for now. Gyilkos eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gyilkos perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Lumper Gyilkos has got the better of the ground game so far. Gyilkos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Lumper Gyilkos hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Gyilkos looks for the body kick but Gaspic saw that one coming. Gaspic blocks a head kick by Gyilkos.
Gyilkos connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gaspic. Gaspic circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Gyilkos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gyilkos sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Gaspic is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Gyilkos throws an elbow but Gaspic slips to the side and avoids it well. Gyilkos postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gyilkos decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gaspic to his feet. Gyilkos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Gyilkos trying to control the position from guard on top but Gaspic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gyilkos looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lumper Gyilkos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Gyilkos moves into range and clinches up with Gaspic. A frustrated look appears on Gaspic's face as he tries to break the clinch. Gaspic swings wildly with an uppercut but Gyilkos uses good head movement to avoid it. Gyilkos has Gaspic pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gyilkos pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Gaspic tumbling to the mat - Gyilkos dives into Gaspic's guard. Gaspic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gyilkos decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Gaspic, up you get! Gyilkos drives through with a takedown into guard. Gaspic on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Gaspic tries to get out of the position. Gaspic is trying to hold Gyilkos in close to prevent damage but Gyilkos has managed to pass into half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gyilkos slows the pace down in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gaspic trying to control but Gyilkos postures up.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Lumper Gyilkos was stalling too much, according to the referee. Gyilkos misses with a double jab.
Gyilkos pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gyilkos rushes Gaspic and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Gyilkos tries to circle away but Gaspic has him pinned against the cage. Gaspic has had enough of the clinch but Gyilkos keeps him there for the moment. David Gaspic has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gyilkos has hold of one of Gaspic's legs. Gaspic is fighting the takedown attempt but Gyilkos gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Gyilkos stays in close to Gaspic's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Gyilkos wants to control from the top but Gaspic keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Lumper Gyilkos was stalling too much, according to the referee. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gyilkos. Gaspic can't do much from the bottom here. Gyilkos in side control, just content to control the action for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gaspic is not content to let Gyilkos control the position. Gyilkos advances nicely into full mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Lumper Gyilkos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gyilkos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
