The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clawed Jon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bautista manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Clawed Jon slaps away a takedown attempt from Bautista, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bautista misses with a series of wild punches.

Bautista works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Clawed Jon takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

It looks like Damn Van Clawed Jon has been cut.
Bautista has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Bautista creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Clawed Jon sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Clawed Jon takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Damn Van Clawed Jon's cut is getting worse.

Bautista lands a strong strike to the head of Clawed Jon. That's dazed him! Bautista looking to finish here. Clawed Jon is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Bautista lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Dave Bautista opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
