The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gobblecoque tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Gobblecoque throws a head kick but Snarff moves out of range.
Snarff checks a low kick from Gobblecoque.
Snarff closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gobblecoque circles away.
Gobblecoque throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Snarff tries for a takedown but Gobblecoque sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Gobblecoque tries to close the distance and clinch but Snarff swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Snarff drops back looking for a leg! Gobblecoque is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Gobblecoque manages to kick Snarff off! Snarff jumps back into Gobblecoque's guard.
Gobblecoque knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Snarff on the ground.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Gareth Gobblecoque will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Snarff misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Snarff works to advance to full mount. Gobblecoque defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Snarff is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Gobblecoque is surviving well by controlling Snarff's body position as best he can.
