The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zhukov paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Zhukov throws a leg kick which misses Cooper's front leg but catches the back leg as Cooper tries to avoid it.
Cooper throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Zhukov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Cooper closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Cooper's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Zhukov digs a right hand underneath Cooper's ribcage. Cooper let out a lung full of air as it connected.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Zhukov.
Zhukov lands a leg kick that knocks Cooper off balance momentarily.
Zhukov lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cooper's sensitive parts.

Zhukov drops Cooper with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Cooper looks back up at him and smiles so Zhukov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Cooper walks straight into a right hand from Zhukov - that's dropped him! Zhukov jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Cooper from any more punishment! Cooper complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
