Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dudley Moorer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derk Diggler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dudley Moorer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Derk Diggler's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dudley Moorer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derk Diggler! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diggler shoots in but no luck this time. Dudley Moorer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Diggler tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Moorer swivels and escapes. Moorer scores with a three punch combo!
Moorer misses with a few strikes there.
Moorer tries for a takedown but Diggler sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Moorer throws a good cross that connects.
Diggler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Moorer defends it nicely. Dudley Moorer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Derk Diggler. Moorer throws a right and a left that both miss. Diggler fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Moorer tries to bum rush Diggler with a series of wild strikes but Diggler uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Diggler looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Moorer misses with a wild combination.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A jab from Moorer finds it's way through Diggler's defenses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moorer pivots, looking for a leg kick but Diggler is out of range and Moorer settles back down. Moorer closes the distance and clinches. Moorer wants to take the fight to the mat but Diggler manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Diggler tries to pull guard but Moorer won't allow it.
Diggler pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diggler wants to sweep but no luck. Diggler looking to control.
Moorer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Moorer stands up from Diggler's guard - Moorer perhaps looking for a knockout. Moorer stalks Diggler and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Diggler's face. Diggler staggers backwards, shaken.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moorer scores with a body shot.
Moorer throws a right and a left that Diggler avoids nicely. Diggler takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Moorer throws a series of strikes that have Diggler backpedaling.
Moorer thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Diggler if he has to take too many more of those.
Moorer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Moorer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Moorer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diggler quickly recovers to half guard. Moorer tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Diggler. Diggler is trying to maintain the position but Moorer is very close to passing his half guard. Moorer trying to control the action but Diggler is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moorer is looking to stall here but Diggler recovers full guard. Moorer won't allow Diggler to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moorer being controlled here momentarily. Diggler keeping moving, preventing Moorer from controlling successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moorer's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Dudley Moorer wasn't doing enough on the ground. Moorer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diggler circles away. Moorer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moorer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Moorer works over Diggler's head and body with a nice combination. Moorer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moorer wants it to stay on the feet. Moorer's corner calls for a 1-2. Moorer obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Diggler takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Diggler avoids the body shot from Moorer.
Moorer throws a series of strikes that have Diggler backpedaling.
Moorer throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dudley Moorer dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Moorer misses with a combination
and Diggler counters with a straight right hand. Diggler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Moorer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Diggler goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Moorer rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Diggler's guard! Nice work there by Moorer! Diggler keeping moving, preventing Moorer from controlling successfully. Moorer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Diggler is trying to keep Moorer in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moorer looking to pass the guard. Moorer prevents Diggler from getting back to his feet. Diggler scrambles and gets back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Moorer. Moorer digs a good hook to Diggler's body.
Moorer feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Digglers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! A right-left combo lands from Moorer. Moorer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diggler tries for a takedown but Moorer circles away easily and Moorer counters with a right hand to the body. Moorer doesn't manage to clinch there - Diggler circles away.
Moorer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Moorer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Diggler's shoulder. That is not cool. Diggler is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Moorer asserts his dominance and retains side control. Moorer working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moorer tries to score with some ground and pound. Diggler controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Moorer moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Moorer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Diggler keeps working. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Diggler struggling a bit here.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Moorer throws out a loose jab but Diggler uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nice cross by Moorer. Moorer drives through and clinches with Diggler against the cage.
Moorer manages to break the clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Moorer. Those never looked like landing. Diggler moves forwards but Moorer connects with a nice, crisp jab. Moorer lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Moorer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Diggler on the side of the head. This has been an exciting period of action! Moorer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Diggler tries to score a power double leg takedown but Moorer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diggler somewhat. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Moorer shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Diggler is trying to defend but Moorer finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dudley Moorer dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Moorer throws a combination. Diggler tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Moorer fails in his attempt to clinch. Diggler avoids the body shot from Moorer.
Moorer jabs Diggler to the body, keeping him at a distance. Diggler closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Diggler lands in his opponent's guard. Moorer wants to stand but Diggler is controlling the position. Diggler looking to sit in guard and control but Moorer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Moorer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Moorer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Diggler pushes Moorer off and gets back to his feet.

Dudley Moorer is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moorer with a jab. No luck for Diggler with that takedown attempt. A combination from Moorer does no damage. Moorer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diggler's guard. Moorer stays in close to Diggler's body and controls the position. Moorer wants to control from the top but Diggler keeps moving. Moorer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Diggler looking for a sweep. Not yet Diggler, not yet.
Dudley Moorer has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Diggler wants to clinch. Dudley Moorer is winning the standup battle so far. Diggler walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Moorer connects with the punch. Moorer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diggler can do to turn this around? Moorer misses with a few strikes there.
Diggler has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Excellent takedown into side control there by Moorer. Moorer working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Diggler tries to bench press Moorer off him but Moorer keeps the position. Moorer tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Diggler can't do much from the bottom here. Moorer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Diggler's shoulder. That is not cool. Diggler is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Derk Diggler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Moorer tries to move to mount but Diggler blocks the move with his legs.
And that's the end of the fight! Dudley Moorer showed his dominance in that final round. Well Moorer has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Dudley Moorer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
