The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Smith looking to score a takedown here. Sanchez is defending well but Smith drives through and ends up in Sanchez's guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Smith trying to control but Sanchez is working from the bottom.

Sanchez uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Smith looks for a takedown but Sanchez sprawls well.
Smith showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sanchez.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.
Sanchez scores with a three punch combo!
Smith shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Smith swings for the body but Sanchez moves out of range.
Smith takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

and Smith counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Smith is trying to pull guard but Sanchez has him pressed against the cage.
Diego Sanchez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sam Smith.

Sanchez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Smith connects with a couple of short punches.
Sanchez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Smith is controlling him.
Sanchez wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment.

Sanchez has his feet on Smith's thighs here. He's pushed Smith off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Smith screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
