Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vitor Belfort!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kaito Ishikawa!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belfort bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ishikawa's head backwards.
Belfort scores with a punch to the head.
Ishikawa shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ishikawa blocks a head kick by Belfort.
Belfort throws a body kick that misses.
Belfort motions for Ishikawa to come forward. Belfort throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ishikawa takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Belfort looks for the body kick but Ishikawa saw that one coming.
Ishikawa fails with a takedown attempt.
Ishikawa throws a head kick but Belfort moves out of range.
Nice jab there from Belfort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ishikawa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Belfort is fending him off so far but Ishikawa persists. Nope, Belfort circles away and we're back to standing.
Vitor Belfort has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kaito Ishikawa.
Belfort keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Ishikawa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Belfort did well to prevent Ishikawa getting side control.
Ishikawa looks winded!
Belfort preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Belfort is pressing down on Ishikawa's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Belfort is pulling down on Ishikawa's head. It's preventing any offense from Ishikawa, at least for the moment.
Ishikawa pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Belfort is keeping the position for now.
Belfort wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ishikawa's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Belfort pulls Ishikawa in close to his closed guard and prevents Ishikawa from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Vitor Belfort.
Ishikawa gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Belfort.
Belfort lands with a shot to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Belfort shoots for a takedown but Ishikawa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Belfort misses with a head kick.
Kaito Ishikawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Belfort lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ishikawa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ishikawa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Ishikawa tries for a takedown but Belfort sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Belfort thuds a left hand into Ishikawa's body.
Belfort fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Ishikawa checks it well.
Belfort lands a nice looking body shot.
Belfort lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A decent looking cross lands there for Belfort.
Belfort connects with a body shot.
Belfort misses with a head kick.
Belfort throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Belfort throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ishikawa.
Belfort fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ishikawa looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Belfort is looking to score with low kicks.
Nice straight punches there by Belfort. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Belfort.
Belfort ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Belfort stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.


Ishikawa is rocked!
Belfort Throws a clean left jab. Belfort Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Ishikawa's chin! Ishikawa crumbles to the ground and Belfort follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Belfort!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Vitor Belfort!
