The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanawakkamaki throws a low kick but Asanov avoids it.
Asanov lands a jab to the nose.
Kanawakkamaki checks a leg kick.
Asanov throws a series of punches but Kanawakkamaki avoids them all with ease.
Kanawakkamaki shoots in looking for a takedown but Asanov manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kanawakkamaki's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Asanov throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Asanov stuns Kanawakkamaki with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Kanawakkamaki tried to score with a low kick but Asanov checks it.
Asanov lands a body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kanawakkamaki takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
It looks like Hugh Kanawakkamaki has been cut.

Asanov ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Asanov lands a left and a right that send Kanawakkamaki crashing to the mat, dazed. Asanov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Kanawakkamaki is rocked!
Asanov lands a big right hook! Kanawakkamaki looks hurt but is still standing! Asanov lands a left jab and another right hook! This time Kanawakkamaki falls down and Asanov dives in with a huge hammer fist! Kanawakkamaki's eyes roll back! The referee calls for the bell and Asanov runs up the cage to celebrate with his fans!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Guljigit Asanov!
Guljigit Asanov decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
