The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Butcher fails to land the takedown.
Butcher scores a takedown into full mount!
Masters stops Butcher from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Masters slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Masters makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Masters.
Masters bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Butcher's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Masters trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Masters thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Butcher looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Butcher is breathing heavily.
Masters passes into half guard.

Masters seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Butcher does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Masters is working for a submission of some sort.
Masters is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Butcher is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
