Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Fitsmichael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Doe tries to clinch but Fitsmichael is having none of it. Doe throws a head kick but Fitsmichael moves out of range.
Doe looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Doe looks for the body kick but Fitsmichael saw that one coming. Doe drives through with a takedown into guard. Doe throws a big elbow that misses. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fitsmichael working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Doe. Doe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Doe scoring with some ground and pound. Doe chips away with some ground and pound. Doe throws a big elbow that misses. Fitsmichael wants to stand up but Doe is controlling him. Doe works over Fitsmichael with some ground and pound from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fitsmichael keeping full guard, as Doe tries to pass. Doe content to stall in guard here. Doe decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Doe has a takedown stuffed.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Doe tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fitsmichael swivels and escapes. Doe closes the distance and pushes Fitsmichael back into the cage. Doe is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Fitsmichael is defending well. Sean Fitsmichael has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Doe. Doe is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Doe stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Fitsmichael has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Doe avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Doe manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Doe shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Doe fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fitsmichael manages to avoid it. No luck with that takedown attempt from Doe. John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fitsmichael slaps away a takedown attempt from Doe, before circling back to the center of the mat. Doe looks winded! Doe shoots for a takedown but Fitsmichael saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Doe will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Doe dives in and grabs Fitsmichael's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fitsmichael pushes down on Doe's head and hops out.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Doe wants to clinch up but Fitsmichael keeps it at a distance. Doe gets a takedown into half guard. Fitsmichael is trying to stand.
Doe is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Doe is nestled in close to Fitsmichael, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Doe dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Doe rushes Fitsmichael and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Doe jumps guard.
Fitsmichael preventing the sweep. Doe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fitsmichael's guard. Doe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Doe scoring with punches and elbows. Fitsmichael is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Fitsmichael is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
That's one minute gone in the round. Doe controlling from side mount. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Doe is trying to get an arm triangle but Fitsmichael is defending well. Doe is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Fitsmichael looks calm but he's in trouble here. Doe gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Fitsmichael is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Doe lets go of the hold and Fitsmichael can pop his arm back in it's socket.
