The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Farson. No joy for Urrah on that attempt.
Farson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Urrah.
Urrah shoots in for a double leg but Farson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
A looping hook to the body misses from Urrah. Farson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Urrah just misses with a punch to the body.
Good leg kick by Farson there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Farson.
Farson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Urrah if he has to take too many more of those.
Farson connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Farson throws a front kick aimed at Urrah's knee but Urrah avoids it well.

Farson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Farson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Urrah takes a kick to the side of the head.

Good exchange - Farson coming out on top.
Farson throws a head kick that misses.
Urrah is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Urrah connects with a right hand. Farson shakes it off.
Farson misses with a low kick.
Farson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Urrah fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Farson sprawls well initially but Urrah persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Urrah seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Farson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Farson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Urrah working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Urrah has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Urrah wants to work for an arm triangle but Farson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Farson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Farson is in trouble now - Urrah has advanced to mount!

Urrah with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Urrah throwing strikes but Farson uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Urrah thows a huge punch but Farson dodges it nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Urrah is looking to pass Farson's guard but actually Farson recovers to full guard.

A close round but Josef Urrah will probably get the nod.

The fighters circle momentarily. Urrah darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Farson throws a nice head kick!

Urrah is rocked!
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Farson engages and cracks Urrah with a massive lead left hook - Urrah tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Farson is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

A relieved looking John Farson thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
