Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Waitzel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Rosgen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waitzel's entrance music is Dimmu Borgir - Puritania. A fine choice. Greg Rosgen has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Rosgen!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Eddie Farnsworth and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rosgen displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Waitzel throws out the jab.
Waitzel checks a low kick from Rosgen.
Waitzel checks a leg kick.
Waitzel throws out a loose jab but Rosgen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Waitzel looks to land a right hand but Rosgen moved out of range.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Waitzel checks a leg kick.
Nice body punch from Rosgen.
Rosgen sizes up Waitzel with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Waitzel wants to clinch.
Rosgen misses with a straight right.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Waitzel blocks a head kick by Rosgen.
Rosgen misses with a head kick.
Waitzel misses with a left hand
and Rosgen counters with a series of strikes. Waitzel will be more careful next time no doubt.
A big right from Rosgen misses.
Shane Waitzel is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rosgen shoots in for a double leg but Waitzel sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Waitzel bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Waitzel throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Rosgen counters with a good low kick that Waitzel was not able to check.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rosgen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Waitzel.
Waitzel tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rosgen swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A nice leg kick lands there from Waitzel.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Good leg kick by Rosgen there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Waitzel moves out of range of the body kick.
Jab by Rosgen.
Rosgen takes one to the chin there.
Waitzel lands a lovely overhand right.
Waitzel moves into range and clinches up with Rosgen.
Rosgen misses with a punch to the body.
Rosgen goes for a takedown attempt but Waitzel pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Waitzel lands a big uppercut and Rosgen crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Rosgen looks OK. Waitzel waves Rosgen back to his feet!
It looks like Greg Rosgen has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rosgen throws a jab when Waitzel was well out of range.
A swing and a miss from Waitzel.
Rosgen throws a half hearted mid kick.
Waitzel drops Rosgen with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rosgen looks back up at him and smiles so Waitzel waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Rosgen is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Waitzel pushes Rosgen up against the cage in a clinch.
Rosgen is still on wobbly legs! Can Waitzel finish him?
Rosgen wants to break free but Waitzel has control.
Waitzel throws a big uppercut that drops Rosgen! More strikes from Waitzel and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Rosgen lies dazed against the cage as Waitzel celebrates with his cornermen!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shane Waitzel!
