Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brad Bradley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Dummy! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bradley tries to close the distance and clinch but Dummy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Dummy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bradley's half guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Bradley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dummy is working away from the top position though. Dummy trying to pass the guard but Bradley defending well. Bradley missing with punches from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bradley tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bradley tries to roll over but Dummy keeps him under control. Bradley is trying to control but can't.
Bradley wants to improve his position but Dummy is controlling well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Dummy looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Dummy wants to work for an arm triangle but Bradley is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Bradley makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bradley. Dummy pushes down on Bradley's leg and manages to get into half guard. Dummy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Dummy is keen to just control but Bradley is a slippery customer. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bradley has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dummy is working away from the top position though. Dummy takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Dummy seems to be looking for submissions.

Bradley wants to control but Dummy is keeping busy and won't allow it. Dummy is working for a kimura but Bradley is defending it quite comfortably.

Dummy uses his free foot to push down on Bradley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bradley. Dummy wants to finish this one by submission but Bradley is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Dummy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bradley has left one of his arms exposed and Dummy doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Bradley screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
