Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sir Lee Sea Flea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny McNulty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sir Lee Sea Flea!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Danny McNulty!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McNulty shoots in looking for a takedown but Sea Flea manages to keep the fight standing, pushing McNulty's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
McNulty shoots in looking for a takedown. Sea Flea tries to sprawl out of it but McNulty keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sea Flea manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sea Flea misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sea Flea throws a hook but McNulty avoids it easily.

McNulty clinches up against the cage.

McNulty pulls guard effortlessly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNulty throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

Sea Flea drops back looking for a leg! McNulty is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McNulty manages to kick Sea Flea off! Sea Flea jumps back into McNulty's guard.
McNulty is pulling down on Sea Flea's head. It's preventing any offense from Sea Flea, at least for the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Danny McNulty was stalling too much, according to the referee.

and McNulty counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
McNulty will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

McNulty is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sea Flea is aware though and is defending well.

Sea Flea is looking to take a break and control but McNulty is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Sir Lee Sea Flea will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from McNulty.

McNulty gets control of Sea Flea's arms and successfully pulls guard. McNulty will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

McNulty really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sea Flea. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Sea Flea has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
McNulty is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

McNulty wants to get back to his feet but Sea Flea is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sea Flea stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McNulty swivels though and keeps the full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McNulty can do anything to dispel that myth.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McNulty holds on and takes a little breather.

We're going to have a standup here because Sir Lee Sea Flea wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McNulty.

and McNulty counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

McNulty changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sea Flea tries to avoid it but McNulty manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sea Flea to the ground. Sea Flea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sea Flea drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sea Flea jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Sea Flea is looking to work some ground and pound but McNulty has wrist control.

Sea Flea shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McNulty as he avoids it easily.

McNulty drops down looking for an ankle pick but Sea Flea pulls his leg out and moves away.

McNulty shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Sea Flea's guard.
Sea Flea wants to sweep here but McNulty controlling him for the moment.
McNulty lands a couple of decent looking shots.

McNulty seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sea Flea wants to sweep but no luck.
Sea Flea is working hard here to advance position.
Sir Lee Sea Flea overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McNulty throwing strikes from guard but Sea Flea blocks nicely.

Sea Flea working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. McNulty doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. McNulty manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
McNulty wants to stand but Sea Flea has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Sea Flea has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. McNulty doesn't defend quickly enough and Sea Flea has managed to lock this one up! Can McNulty escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sea Flea on a fantastic submission victory.
