PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronny Pistole (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Huwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pistole has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Pistole. No joy for Huwe on that attempt.
Pistole swats away the attempt to clinch by Huwe.
Pistole tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pistole stuffs the takedown attempt from Huwe. Huwe gets slowly back to his feet.
Huwe lands with a nice body punch.
Pistole throws a sloppy head kick
and Huwe counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pistole tries to clinch but Huwe moves out of range.
Huwe shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pistole sprawls well. Pistole wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Huwe gets slowly back to his feet.
Ronny Pistole has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danny Huwe.
Huwe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Pistole misses with a head kick.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Huwe wants a takedown.
Huwe will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pistole up against the cage.

Huwe jumps guard but Pistole stands there with Huwe around his waist. Huwe gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Pistole tries to land knees in the clinch but Huwe avoids the damage to the body.
Pistole has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Huwe tries to circle away but Pistole has him pinned against the cage.
Huwe drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Pistole gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Pistole tries to break free but Huwe pushes him back against the cage.
Huwe jumps guard but Pistole stands there with Huwe around his waist. Huwe gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Pistole escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pistole stuffs the takedown attempt from Huwe. Huwe gets slowly back to his feet.

Pistole throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Huwe blocks a head kick by Pistole.
Pistole is breathing heavily.
Huwe misses with a jab, cross combination.
Huwe lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Ronny Pistole seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Huwe closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Huwe breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pistole throws a head kick that misses.
Pistole looks for a takedown but Huwe sprawls well.
A lazy left from Huwe finds it's target.

Pistole tries to keep at a distance but Huwe has taken the fight into the clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Huwe tries a knee to the head but Pistole blocks it.

Huwe pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Pistole throws a sloppy head kick and Huwe moves out of range easily.
Huwe fails with the takedown.
Pistole pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Pistole lands a head kick. Huwe smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Pistole takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Huwe pushes Pistole up against the cage in a clinch.
Huwe wants to take the fight to the mat but Pistole manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Pistole breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pistole throws a sloppy head kick and Huwe moves out of range easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Huwe is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pistole sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Pistole throws a head kick but Huwe moves out of range.
Huwe fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pistole avoids it really well and circles away.
Pistole pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Huwe moves into range and clinches up with Pistole.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Danny Huwe dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

A head kick misses from Pistole.

Pistole lands a big head kick that sends Huwe tumbling to the mat! Pistole takes a step backwards and waves Huwe back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Huwe is rocked!

It looks like Danny Huwe has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Huwe drops his hands momentarily and Pistole needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Huwe just on the top of the head. Huwe drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Huwe - he's done!
