The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Donatello Bradman and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steiner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Oxe can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee asks Steiner politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Steiner prefers to stall for the moment though.
Oxe is trying to improve his position.
Oxe is trying to control Steiner's posture but Steiner avoids it.
Oxe tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Oxe wants to control but Steiner postures up.
Steiner creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Steiner looks up at the clock and then as Oxe takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Steiner smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Oxe really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Let's hope that Steiner has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Steiner is thwarting Oxe's attempts to control the position.
Steiner working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Steiner is taking a breather. Oxe says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Oxe manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oxe won't let Steiner get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Oxe throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Steiner because Oxe loaded up on that one.
