Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Persson Persson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hubert Rehel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Persson comes into the arena with Go Into The Water blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Persson Persson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Hubert Rehel! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Persson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Rehel feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Rehel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Persson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Persson wants to sweep here but Rehel controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rehel content to stall in guard here. Persson wants to sweep but no luck.
That's one minute gone in the round. Persson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rehel is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rehel pushing down on Persson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Persson is breathing heavily. Rehel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Rehel moves nicely into side control. Persson prevents Rehel from improving position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Persson trying to remain calm as Rehel controls from the top position. Rehel cracks Persson with a big right hand but Persson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Despite being in the dominant position, Hubert Rehel just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Persson with a poor takedown and Rehel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Rehel must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Persson looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Rehel passes into side control.
Rehel remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Rehel is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Persson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rehel moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rehel moves into full mount! Rehel working away from the top, dropping strikes. Persson is looking to improve his position but Rehel isn't that keen on the idea. Rehel controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hubert Rehel dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Rehel is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Rehel keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Rehel lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rehel lands a nice short elbow. Rehel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Rehel content to control rather than advance. Rehel passes to full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Persson wants to control but Rehel is having none of it. Rehel sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Let's hope that Rehel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Hubert Rehel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Hubert Rehel has got the better of the ground game so far. Still in half guard, Rehel seems content to control. Rehel wants to take a breather but Persson is having none of it.

Rehel slips out almost immediately though and dives into Persson's guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rehel sitting in guard, not really doing much.
And that's the end of the fight! Hubert Rehel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rehel has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
