The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Rose sprawls well initially but Adams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Adams is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rose is looking to control Adams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rose avoid being mounted?
Rose is refusing to be controlled, as Adams sits in half guard.
Adams looks to land a strike but Rose avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Rose is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Adams frees his head nicely. Oh but Rose has switched to an armbar! Adams is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
