Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Red Dog!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yojiro Uchimura!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Dog with that takedown attempt.

Uchimura darts in and clinches Dog up against the cage.
Dog scores with a knee to the head.
Uchimura stops a takedown attempt from Dog.

Dog has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Uchimura uses from the top position.
Uchimura is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Dog is striking but Uchimura is not phased and passes to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dog is looking to improve his position.
Uchimura throwing shots but Dog is blocking nicely.
Dog tries to get to full guard but Uchimura has control of the leg.

Uchimura is trying to work for a kimura but Dog is defending well.
Dog wants to control but Uchimura is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Dog is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Uchimura content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Dog is looking to improve his position.
Uchimura looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dog with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Dog is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Uchimura not doing much here.
Dog wants to get back to full guard.
Dog is breathing heavily.
Nice strikes from Uchimura there.
Uchimura looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Uchimura escapes and gets back to his feet.
Dog misses with a takedown attempt - Uchimura sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Red Dog. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Uchimura darts in and clinches Dog up against the cage.
Dog really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dog is trying to break the clinch but Uchimura is controlling him.
Uchimura tries to break the clinch but Dog is controlling the position.
Uchimura is trying to break free.
Dog missing with knees to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Uchimura wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Dog's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice takedown defense from Dog. No joy for Uchimura on that attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Yojiro Uchimura dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Dog tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Uchimura was well out of range. Poor timing from Dog.
Uchimura circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dog will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Dog lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Uchimura circles away quickly and effectively.
Uchimura stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Uchimura wants it to stay on the feet.
Dog wants to clinch up but Uchimura keeps it at a distance.

Dog decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Dog with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Uchimura is trying is best to control the position here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Uchimura is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dog's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dog's back!

Uchimura is cranking Dog's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Dog! He's tightened the choke and Dog is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Yojiro Uchimura!
