Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Peter Stumpp!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Pettis does no damage.
Pettis misses with a wild combination.
Pettis misses with the combination.
Pettis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stumpp misses with a takedown attempt - Pettis sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pettis fails to land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stumpp.
Pettis loads up on a big right hand but Stumpp slips the punch.
Pettis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jeremy Pettis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pettis throws a nice looking combination but Stumpp bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jeremy Pettis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Stumpp takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Stumpp slips a straight right by Pettis.
Donk. Pettis catches Stumpp right on the button with a cross.
Pettis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pettis lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Stumpp backs up against the cage.
A swing and a miss from Pettis.
Pettis misses with a series of wild punches.
Pettis throws a one two combo.
Pettis throws a shot from downtown. Stumpp moves away and avoids it.
Pettis takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stumpp connects with an inside leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pettis misses the jab.
Stumpp tries a low kick but Pettis avoids it.
Pettis throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Pettis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pettis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Stumpp was well out of range. Poor timing from Pettis.
Stumpp avoids a punch combination nicely.

Stumpp scores with a takedown into Pettis's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Stumpp drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Stumpp jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pettis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pettis tries to get out of the position.
Stumpp wants to control from the top but Pettis keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Stumpp is pushing down on Pettis's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pettis is fighting to maintain full guard but Stumpp has managed to sneak the leg through.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stumpp has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Pettis defend it? Stumpp steps over the head and cranks it - Pettis is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Stumpp!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Peter Stumpp!
Peter Stumpp tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
