Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Enzo Moses! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trevor Mint! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mint tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Moses takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Enzo Moses has been cut. Moses connects with a high kick. Mint scores with a jab. Moses swats away the attempt to clinch by Mint. Mint tries for a takedown but Moses sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mint swinging wildly here.
Mint throws a head kick that misses. Moses tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Moses wants to clinch up but Mint keeps it at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mint fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Mint shoots in but no luck this time. Enzo Moses has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Trevor Mint. Moses clinches with his opponent.
Mint wants a takedown but no success here.
Mint wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mint has Moses pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Moses manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Mint tries to break free but Moses pushes him back against the cage. Mint can't break the clinch.
Moses escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Moses gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Moses pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Enzo Moses is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mint misses with a left hand and Moses counters with a slapping leg kick. Mint showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Moses.
Mint shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moses as he avoids it easily. Moses avoids the body shot from Mint.
Moses throws a quick inside leg kick. Moses closes the distance and pushes Mint back into the cage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Moses is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Mint has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Moses avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Mint looks winded! Mint has had enough of the clinch but Moses keeps him there for the moment. Come on Moses - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moses keeps control of Mint as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Moses looking to throw knees to the head but Mint is blocking nicely.
Moses pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Mint showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Moses.
Moses displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mint. Moses fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Mint takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moses cracks Mint with an open hand slap. Mint wants to clinch but Moses slips to the side and Moses counters with a slapping leg kick. Moses blocks a head kick by Mint.
Moses throws a series of punches but Mint avoids them all with ease. Mint is looking to clinch. Moses is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Mint like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Mint from another fist facial!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Enzo Moses!
