Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jay Glazer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sheikh Hasina Wazed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wazed has chosen Mercedes Sosa - Como la Cigarra as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jay Glazer has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jay Glazer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sheikh Hasina Wazed! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wazed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Glazer.
Glazer keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wazed. Glazer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Wazed counters with a shoot takedown. Glazer fights it but they end up in guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Wazed forces his way into half guard. Wazed looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Wazed lands a nice short elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wazed uses his free foot to push down on Glazer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Glazer. Wazed lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Glazer is squirming around, avoiding Wazed's attempts to control the action. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sheikh Hasina Wazed dominated that round. That's time! Glazer's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Wazed dives in and scores a takedown into Glazer's guard. Glazer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Wazed manages to get himself to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Glazer is just content to waste time from the top position. Wazed takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Glazer wants to stand but Wazed has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Glazer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wazed not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Wazed scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Glazer leaves Wazed with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Glazer throws a nice looking combination but Wazed bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Glazer throws a series of punches but Wazed avoids them all with ease. Glazer fails with a takedown attempt. Glazer pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Glazer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

A big left from Glazer misses. Wazed fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Glazer to the ground. Wazed is now in Glazer's guard. Glazer wants to get back to his feet but Wazed passes into half guard.

Glazer is trying to stand up here but Wazed is controlling him well. Glazer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Wazed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Glazer pinned against the cage. Glazer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Glazer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sheikh Hasina Wazed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Glazer has a takedown stuffed. Wazed dives in and grabs Glazer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Glazer pushes down on Wazed's head and hops out. Wazed moves away from the strike by Glazer. Glazer misses the jab. Glazer throws a nice looking combination but Wazed bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wazed throws a lazy right hand but Glazer sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Glazer shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Wazed defends it nicely. Wazed shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wazed showed some decent athleticism there. Wazed wants to take a breather but Glazer is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Wazed in particular looking to stall.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sheikh Hasina Wazed wasn't active enough on the ground. Glazer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wazed tries to avoid it but Glazer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wazed to the ground. Wazed escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jay Glazer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Glazer scores with a nice head shot. Wazed ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Wazed fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Wazed tries to free his leg and advance position but Glazer is retaining full guard. Glazer being controlled here, momentarily. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Wazed bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wazed controlling the position from side mount. Jay Glazer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Wazed wants to control but Glazer is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wazed tries to advance to mount but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wazed wants to control but Glazer is keeping him busy. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Sheikh Hasina Wazed hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Glazer scores with a nice head shot. Sheikh Hasina Wazed is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Glazer misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Glazer feints a jab promting Wazed to slip. Glazer then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wazed slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
And that's the end of the fight! Sheikh Hasina Wazed comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Wazed winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
