The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wrist lands a big head kick that sends Conway tumbling to the mat! Wrist takes a step backwards and waves Conway back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Tam Conway has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Conway swats away the attempt to clinch by Wrist. Conway lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Horrible takedown by Wrist or perhaps it was just good defense by Conway which made him look bad. Conway pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wrist back to the cage. Conway follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Conway scores with a punch to the head. Conway slips a jab and a cross from Wrist.
Wrist tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Conway paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wrist tries for a takedown but Conway circles away easily and Conway counters with a one-two to the body. Conway connects with the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrist misses with a left hand and Conway counters with a nice double leg into side control. Wrist won't be happy with that. Wrist wants to control but Conway postures up. Wrist is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Conway is putting a hurting on Wrist here, landing some big shots from side control. Conway connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wrist some visible discomfort.
Conway working away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wrist is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Conway is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. An elbow from Conway crashes against the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Conway working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Wrist regains half guard. Wrist wants to control but Conway is keeping busy and won't allow it. Conway really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wrist. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wrist regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Conway. Wrist keeping moving, preventing Conway from controlling successfully. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wrist is on top in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Wrist looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Conway looks like he's trying to stand up.
Wrist moves nicely into side control. Wrist in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Conway is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Wrist has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wrist trying to control the position but Conway is working away. Wrist is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Conway is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Conway is pushing Wrist's head away, looking to escape. Wrist manages to hold on to the position though. Conway is not content to let Wrist control the position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Conway wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Breaka Wrist dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tam Conway's cut. That's time! Back to the action!
Wrist clinches. Conway tries to circle away but Wrist has him pinned against the cage. Wrist is looking to control Conway's arms but Conway gets an underhook and turns him. Now Wrist has his back to the cage. Still in the clinch, Wrist scores with a nice short uppercut. Conway taking a breather. Conway is trying to push Wrist away but Wrist has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Conway's face as he tries to break the clinch. Wrist's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Wrist with a poor takedown and Conway counters with a lovely shot to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - Wrist looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wrist tries to work over Conway's front leg with a kick but Conway checks it. Breaka Wrist is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrist has his takedown stuffed and Conway counters with a two punch combo. Breaka Wrist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Wrist with a poor takedown and Conway counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Breaka Wrist. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wrist shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Conway counters with a left to the body. Wrist fails with the takedown. Wrist tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Conway manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Wrist throws out a leg kick but Conway moves out of range and Wrist only half commits.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrist shoots in looking for a takedown but Conway manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wrist's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. A decent looking cross lands there for Conway. Wrist drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Conway wants to stand up but Wrist is controlling him. Breaka Wrist overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Conway keeping moving, preventing Wrist from controlling successfully. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Conway wants to get back to his feet but Wrist is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Breaka Wrist has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Conway feints a jab promting Wrist to slip. Conway then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wrist slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Wrist takes a swing at Conway's ribcage but misses. Wrist has taken the fight to the clinch.
Conway takes a knee right on the jaw!
Conway wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wrist has him pressed against the cage. Conway gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Wrist.
Conway is trying to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wrist manages to pull guard.
Conway lands a couple of decent looking shots. Conway lands a couple of elbows. Wrist wants to stand but Conway is controlling the position. Wrist has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Wrist looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Conway is looking to work some ground and pound but Wrist has wrist control. Wrist looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wrist tries for a takedown but Conway circles away easily and Conway counters with a left to the body. Wrist misses with a straight right. Wrist fails with the takedown and Conway counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Wrist changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Conway tries to avoid it but Wrist manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Conway to the ground. Conway escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Breaka Wrist. That's going to take a lot out of him. Conway scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Wrist fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Conway, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wrist is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Wrist forces Conway back against the cage and clinches. Wrist ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Wrist no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Conway trying to control but Wrist is working from the bottom. Wrist is trying to control the position but Conway postures up. Conway is working Wrist over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Conway trying to control the position from guard on top but Wrist is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Conway working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wrist not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Wrist throwing strikes from guard but Conway blocks nicely. Wrist is pushing down on Conway's leg trying to pass to half guard. Conway is fighting to maintain full guard but Wrist has managed to sneak the leg through. Conway wants to get back to his feet. Wrist moves nicely into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Conway is looking to get back to his feet here but Wrist is keeping cool and he's managed to take Conway's back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wrist is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Conway with him. Conway is trying to defend but Wrist has an arm under the chin now! Conway grimaces and is forced to tap out!
