Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Persson darts in and clinches Martin up against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Martin.
Persson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Martin has him pressed against the cage.
Martin scores with a shoulder strike.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Persson.
Persson's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Persson is trying to break free.
Martin misses with some punches.

Persson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Persson manages to end up in side control.
Persson tries to stand but Martin is controlling his head.
Martin is trying to improve his position.
Martin gets back to half guard.
Persson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Martin defending well though.
Persson wants to stand up but Martin has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Martin slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Martin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Persson is one step ahead there.
Martin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Martin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Persson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Martin is working away from the top position though.
Persson pushes Martin off looking to stand but Martin dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Martin seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Persson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Persson is looking for a sweep. Martin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Martin is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Persson!

Martin looking for a guillotine from mount but Persson is having none of it.
Martin working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Persson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Martin off and cradles Persson's limp body as Martin celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). George Martin!
