Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Speck Trum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thurgood Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thurgood Jenkins is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Speck Trum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thurgood Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Columbo Gatti and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jenkins tries to clinch there but Trum circles away.
Trum throws a leg kick which misses Jenkins's front leg but catches the back leg as Jenkins tries to avoid it. Jenkins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Trum has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jenkins is proving hard to escape from. Trum pushes down on Jenkins's leg and manages to get into half guard. Trum passes to side control. Trum has knee on belly and moves into mount. Jenkins is squirming around, avoiding Trum's attempts to control the action. Jenkins is trying desperately to improve position. Jenkins is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trum with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Trum controlling the pace for now. Trum looking to secure an arm triangle but Jenkins defends it well. Jenkins regains half guard. Jenkins is not content to let Trum control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Trum in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Jenkins tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Trum!
