Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Reigns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Roman Reigns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jason Barnes! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barnes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Reigns avoids it really well and circles away. Roman Reigns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheers as Reigns lands an impressive looking overhand right. Barnes doesn't seem phased though. Reigns shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Barnes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Barnes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reigns gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnes wants to hit a switch here but Reigns passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Barnes there! Reigns really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Barnes can't escape the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reigns working for a submission but Barnes is keeping him at bay. Barnes is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Reigns will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Barnes regains half guard. Barnes is positioning himself well to prevent Reigns advancing to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Barnes is trying to control but can't.

It looks like he's just sitting there. Barnes tries to roll over but Reigns keeps him under control. Barnes works his way to full guard. Good work. Barnes is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Reigns tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnes is trying to maintain the position but Reigns is very close to passing his half guard. Barnes wants to get back to full guard. Barnes actively working from the bottom here. Barnes is trying to get back to full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barnes trying to control but Reigns postures up.

Barnes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Reigns swats him away and circles back towards the center. Reigns misses with a head kick.
Barnes throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Reigns was covering up waiting for the punch and Barnes finishes the takedown easily into guard. Barnes trying to control the position from guard on top but Reigns is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Jason Barnes has got the better of the ground game so far. Barnes engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Barnes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Barnes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reigns is controlling Barnes's posture. Reigns wants to control the position but Barnes says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Barnes is pressing down on Reigns's thigh, looking to free his foot. Reigns is holding on for now. Barnes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reigns keeps working. Barnes is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Barnes works his way into side control. Barnes is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Reigns knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Barnes is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnes throws an elbow but Reigns slips to the side and avoids it well. Barnes wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Reigns, who protects the arm well. Reigns defending against the ground and pound. Barnes tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barnes has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Barnes goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Reigns rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Barnes's guard! Nice work there by Reigns!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reigns stays in close to Barnes's body and controls the position. Barnes is trying to keep Reigns in close.
Barnes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Reigns is one step ahead there. Barnes working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Reigns has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Reigns is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Barnes looking for submissions off his back. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Barnes gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Reigns to score an easy takedown into full guard. Barnes is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Reigns has his hands clasped together but Barnes extends an breaks Reigns's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Barnes.
