Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Eliott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergio Maxwell!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eliott looks to score with a jab to the body but Maxwell is just out of range.
Maxwell stuffs the takedown.
Eliott throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Maxwell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Eliott looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jon Eliott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maxwell lands with a good body shot.

Maxwell tries to sprawl but Eliott drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Eliott prevents Maxwell from standing back up.

Eliott looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Eliott wants to work for an arm triangle but Maxwell is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Eliott stops Maxwell from getting back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Eliott works his foot free and advances to mount.
Maxwell tries to buck Eliott off but he can't manage it.

Eliott is working for a guillotine from mount but Maxwell frees his head quite easily.
Eliott lands with some strikes.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maxwell is trying to stand up.

Eliott is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Eliott extends the arm and Maxwell is forced to tap!
